 Admission Process and Important Dates 2025

IIT Bombay Admission Process

Admissions to Indian Institute of Technology Bombay are offered to B.Tech, B.Des, M.Tech, Dual Degrees, MS, M.Sc, M.Des, MBA, MA and PhD and other programmes. Check the details of IIT Bombay admissions. 

  • Admissions at IIT Bombay are entrance-based.
  • Entrance Exams accepted: JEE Advanced, UCEED, GATE, JAM and CEED are accepted for the IIT Bombay admission process. 
  • Total B.Tech seat intake is 1360 as per IITB Seat Matrix 2025 released by JOSAA. 
  • GATE 2026 exam for MTech admissions will be held on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2026.
  • JAM 2026 exam for MSc admissions will be held on February 15, 2026.
  • UCEED 2025 exam will be conducted on January 18, 2025 for admissions to BDes programmes. 

IIT Bombay accepts JEE Advanced scores for admission to B.Tech, BS and B.Tech M.Tech Integrated programmes. UCEED scores are taken into consideration for IIT Bombay admission to the B.Des programme.
