How To Apply For IIT Delhi Admissions?
For BTech admissions, apply through JoSAA. Students willing to MTech admissions must apply through COAP and then fill out the IIT Delhi MTech application form from the official website. IIT Delhi BTech Admission Process
- The candidates must meet the IIT Delhi B.Tech eligibility criteria.
- The candidate must appear and qualify JEE Main and JEE Advanced examinations.
- After the declaration of the results, if the candidate meets the cutoff then he/she can register for the JoSAA counselling.
- Then, the candidate must select IIT Delhi as the preferred college and preference courses must also be filled.
- Then seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their performance in the entrance examination.
- Then report to IIT Delhi for document verification.
- The provisional admission will be confirmed once the candidate submits the documents for verification and pays the IIT Delhi fees.
IIT Delhi Admissions 2025-26 for PG Courses
Indian Institute of Technology Delhi offers M.Tech, MS, M.Des, M.Sc, and MBA at the postgraduate level. IIT Delhi selection process is different for all PG courses. The duration of the PG course lasts for 2 years. The details of IIT Delhi admission criteria for PG courses are given below.

IIT Delhi MTech Admissions 2025-26
IIT Delhi has started the IIT Delhi 2025 M.Tech registration process on March 22, 2025. Candidates can fill out the application form till April 14, 2025. They need to provide the scored obtained in the GATE exam for MTech admission to IIT Delhi. Aspirants must meet the GATE cutoff 2025 and the IIT Delhi M.Tech cutoff for admission to the institute. It is mandatory for candidates to register themselves on the GATE COAP portal while applying for PG programmes at IITs. IIT Graduates with a CGPA of 8.0 or above are eligible for direct IIT Delhi M.Tech 2025 admission. Such candidates are not required to appear for the GATE 2025 exam.
IIT Delhi MTech Admission Process
- The candidates must meet the IIT Delhi PG eligibility criteria.
- The candidate has to apply and qualify for the GATE examination.
- If the candidate meets the GATE cutoff then the candidate should register for counselling conducted by COAP.
- Then the candidate must fill out the application form from the official website of IIT Delhi.
- Shortlisted candidates will be called for written tests and interviews.
- Candidates with MBBS degree (minimum overall CPI of 6.5) or B.Tech degree (minimum overall CPI of 8.0) are exempted from GATE 2025.
- Then seat allocation for IIT Delhi M.Tech admissions will be done based on the performance of the candidate in the entrance examination.
- Finally, the candidates must submit the documents for verification and pay IITD fees.
IIT Delhi Direct Admission Process for M.Tech Courses
- IIT Graduates having CGPA of 8.0 or above are exempted from having a GATE score.
- Eligible students must fill out IIT Delhi application form from the official website.
- Students will be selected for direct M.Tech admissions based on interview.
- Finally get documents verified and pay IIT Delhi admission fees.
