NMIT Scholarships: Students’ Opinion
The college offers limited scholarship opportunities primarily for students admitted through KCET, with reduced fees around INR 70,000 to 100,000 per year. COMEDK students face higher fees, approximately INR 2.4 to 2.6 lakh annually. State and central government scholarships, such as SSP and NSP, are available for eligible students, particularly those from reserved categories like SC, ST, and OBC, with amounts varying up to INR 42,000 for SC students. The college provides fee reductions for students with financial difficulties and supports in obtaining education loans, especially for Karnataka residents.
However, the college itself does not provide significant scholarships or financial assistance directly. Scholarships for merit-based performance are modest, and additional support is available for students involved in extracurricular activities. The fee structure varies with entrance exams; management quota fees are significantly higher. Hostel fees are approximately INR 1.15 lakh per year, with an annual increase of around INR 15,000. The college has tie-ups with banks like Axis Bank for facilitating education loans.
