SPCE Scholarships: Students’ Opinion
The college provides a variety of scholarships and financial aid, primarily catering to students from reserved categories, such as SC, ST, and OBC, with fewer options for open category students. Scholarships are often based on caste, merit, and family income, with specific schemes like the Tata Scholarship and Dr. Ambedkar Scholarships available. Government scholarships, such as Mahadbt and TFWS, significantly reduce fees for eligible students. The annual fee for general category students ranges from approximately Rs. 84,000 to Rs. 90,000, while fees for OBC students range from Rs. 40,000 to Rs. 42,000, and SC/ST students pay between Rs. 3,000 and Rs. 4,000, with hostel fees at around Rs. 36,500 per year.
Postgraduate students qualifying through GATE receive a stipend of Rs. 12,400 per month. The college also facilitates educational loans, which can be availed based on parental income, under government schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Yojana.
