SPIT Scholarships: Students’ Opinion
The college and the Government of Maharashtra provide various scholarships primarily benefiting students from reserved categories like SC/ST/OBC and economically weaker sections. Scholarships can cover 25% to 100% of tuition fees, depending on eligibility criteria, including family income and merit. The Rajashri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj scheme reimburses 50% of tuition and exam fees for students with family income below 8 lakhs. Notable scholarships include Narotam Sekhsaria offering 50,000 INR, Tata scholarships, and Jain minority scholarships.The general annual fee for open category students ranges from 1.58 lakh to 2 lakh INR, with reduced fees for reserved categories. EBC and other government schemes are available, and the college provides financial assistance for economically backward students and those with outstanding academic achievements. Loan facilities are available for students unable to pay fees upfront, with repayment over three years.
