Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology Dwarahat is a leading engineering institute in Uttarakhand that was established in the year 1986. Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology was established in 1986 as Kumaon Engineering College by Shri Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Government of India. BTKIT Dwarahat was renamed Bipin Tripathi Kumaon Institute of Technology in 2011.

BTKIT admission process begins with the candidates meeting the eligibility criteria. BTKIT admission to the B.Tech programme is based on the scores of JEE Main. According to the BTKIT admission process for the M.Tech programme, seats are allotted to GATE-qualified candidates during counselling based on merit.
