COEP Scholarships: Students’ Opinion
The College of Engineering Pune (COEP) offers a diverse range of scholarships and financial assistance programs to support students. There are approximately 18 scholarships available from various organizations, including government, private, and alumni sources. Key scholarships include the MahaDBT scholarship for Maharashtra government UG courses, the Eaton Pratibha Awards for Women Engineers, Vinod Doshi scholarship, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship, and Merit-cum-Means Based Scholarship for Minority Communities. Students can avail post-matric scholarships based on their categories.
The college also provides education loans through the State Bank of India (SBI) branch situated on campus, with an interest rate of 10.45%. Additionally, government scholarships and freeships are offered for economically challenged students and reserved categories. The college fee structure varies, with general category students paying around INR 90,000-1,35,000 annually, while fees for SC/ST students are significantly lower. Hostel fees range from INR 25,000-45,000 per year, and mess fees are approximately INR 3,000 per month.
Scholarships and fee waivers are accessible through the MAHADBT portal and various private organizations.
