IIT Palakkad offers merit based and students with disabilities with scholarships, Top class education scheme for SC students, National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST students, Central sector scheme of Scholarship for College and University students, Prime Minister’s Scheme for Central Armed Police Forces and Assam Rifles, and Financial Support to the students of NER for Higher Professional Courses.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad offers scholarships to students who have done well in their academics. Needy and outstanding students can also apply for IIT Palakkad scholarships. The institute encourages students to apply for a wide range of State/Central government scholarships. Some of the Central Government scholarships that students of IIT Palakkad can apply for are: Saksham Scholarship, Scheme of Merit cum Means Based Scholarship’ For Students Belonging to The Minority Communities, National Fellowship and Scholarship for Higher Education of ST Students, etc. The details of all the IIT Palakkad scholarships are given in the table below:

Central Government Scholarships, Eligibility Criteria and Amount

| Scheme of ‘Merit cum Means Based Scholarship’ For Students Belonging to The Minority Communities | The scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.The annual income of the family from all sources should not exceed Rs.2.50 lakhs per annum. | An amount of Rs. 20,000 per annum. |
| Scheme of ‘Post Matric Scholarship’ For Students Belonging to The Minority Communities | The scholarship will be awarded to the students who have secured more than 50% marks or equivalent grades in the previous final examination.The annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs per annum.The students must be admitted for first-year diploma/undergraduate degree level programmes/courses in AICTE approved Institutions. | The admission and tuition fee for UG & PG level is Rs. 3,000 per annum. |
