IIT Patna Placement Procedure
1. The Placement office or Placement cell of the IIT Patna contacts companies and extends invitations with pertinent information.
2. After sending the completed Job Announcement Forms (JAF) through email or fax, companies receive a unique login ID for the website. Since the JAFs are made available online, it is easier for interested students to sign up for the Company.
3. The Placement Cell and the Company confer and finalise the date for pre-placement talks if necessary. Each student who has registered for a particular company submits a resume so that the company can shortlist the students accordingly.
4. A detailed schedule is prepared by the IIT Patna Placement Cell evaluating the job offer, prospects, and student intake that is confirmed with all the companies.
5. The companies/organisations visit the IIT Patna campus, meet the registered (or shortlisted) students, and conduct the interviews, tests or group discussion sessions in accordance with their respective recruitment process.
6. The timetable that was previously negotiated and mutually agreed upon should be followed on the date of the interview and all other sessions.
7. The list of students chosen during the interview process must be prepared and submitted by the companies with a written confirmation letter on the actual interview day.
