Non-convocation awards or scholarships are given to current undergraduate and postgraduate students currently in IIT Roorkee with the criteria decided by the donors and the types of awards are
A1 based on academic performance
A2 based on other factors.
IIT Roorkee Merit cum Means scholarship
Merit-cum- means scholarship is offered to a quarter number of students (25%) enrolled in the programme. Bank loans are available and along with scholarships provided to people belonging to general and reserved categories. When scholarships are provided at the postgraduate level, it involves some duties to avail such benefits so that students can earn as well as learn. In the MCM category, scholarships the student gets tuition waiver and monthly allowancesIn case of the general/OBC category, the following factors considered are:

Students who wish to apply for the scholarships must submit their family income certificate through proof of income, income tax return (ITR), etc. so that the scholarship conditions are met.
